During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Yangcheng County's CC&TSPM in Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, organized a two-day "Charity Week," in which believers from all meeting points across the county participated and donated 11,964 yuan.

According to Jincheng Municipal TSPM, this year's Charity Week went beyond the traditional model of monetary donations by integrating on-site visits, thus providing both material assistance and spiritual encouragement.

During the event, the visiting team traveled 194 kilometers to reach 18 people in need across Fengcheng, Baisang, Qinchi, Jiazhai, Yanli, Ciying, Yinzhuang, Shanzhuang, Xihe, and Chengdian townships. In addition to delivering cash and daily necessities, they offered companionship and comfort to the elderly, children with disabilities, and the sick. One elderly recipient expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, "You brought more than just gifts but also the warmth of being remembered."

The Sunday service held during the Charity Week centered on the theme of "Giving." The sermon emphasized that charity is a vital expression of the Christian faith. A special charity offering ceremony was conducted, with all proceeds directed toward supporting families in need throughout the county.

Elder Meng Caihua, the event organizer, explained, "We hold Charity Week not for fame or recognition, but to follow the example of Jesus Christ and live out the commandment to 'love your neighbor as yourself.' Through these small acts, we hope more people will experience God's unconditional love and see His light reflected in our faith."

A participating volunteer shared, "As we serve and care for others, our own lives are nourished and renewed. Faith is not an empty doctrine but is revealed through every concrete act of love and kindness."
