Xishan Gospel Church in Dalian, China's northeastern Liaoning Province held its weekly prayer meeting, attracting hundreds of believers.

In the sanctuary, Senior Pastor Wu Bing knelt on the altar before the cross on the wall, leading the participants in praying on Saturday morning, November 28.

Below the altar, rows of believers knelt on the ground and shouted "Amen" together, following the intercessory prayer of Pastor Wu and the colleagues. They prayed for our country, the world, for peace, for the churches, the pastors, the congregation, the staff workers, the weak and sick members, and the upcoming December and Christmas celebrations. Some believers even knelt down with tears. Those who could not kneel down due to medical conditions stood bowed their heads to pray; a sister who often talked endlessly choked and prayed to God.

A prayer meeting has been held every Saturday since the church was built. At first, it was only held among pastoral staff, deacons and other staff workers. However, many believers asked to join when they saw how effective the prayer meeting was. Now, hundreds of believers pray on the first floor in the main hall.
