People from across the globe are reported to be experiencing "Harry Potter" Effect with the recently concluded Korean hit drama "Descendants of the Sun". The said 16-episode drama with 3 specials has gathered legions of loyal fans across Asia and the whole word.
The characters of the romance military drama have stole people's hearts from Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and China since it started its screening on February.
Due to its popularity in China, it has irked Chinese censors so much that the country's Ministry of Public Security has been reported to have posted a warning on its official Weibo site against the K-drama series saying watching it too much could lead to marital problems and criminal behavior.
Despite this report, still a Chinese version of the "Descendants of the Sun" is reportedly in the making now. Furthermore, Song Joong Ki, the lead actor of the said Korean hit drama will be visiting Beijing for his Concert Tour.
Meanwhile, aside from China, according to a report, marketers got an idea on how to win the hearts of people on today's mobile Asia; which is to tell great stories through mobile. The output to this was when the lead actor, Song Joong Ki was introduced as new brand ambassador for Jeju Air and Korea Tourism Organization.
The reported low cost airline has its Southeast Asia and China firmly on its sights. Moreover, Song will be appearing on China's first TV Ad with famous actress Zhang Ziyi.
