Heilongjiang Theological Seminary recently held the opening ceremony of the "Love in Abundance" Ball Sports League to enrich campus cultural life through athletic competitions and to promote the Christian spirit of "loving one another."
The league includes basketball, table tennis, billiards, badminton, and chess, combining both competitive and recreational elements. At the ceremony, the host highlighted the dual value of sports for physical well-being, mental health, and spiritual growth, remarking that "sports is a display of strength and a flowering of youth," and encouraging participants to "compete with style and skill."
A student referee representative outlined the competition format, while an athlete representative expressed the hope for fair play, unity, and friendship. Rev. Han Qiujie then offered a prayer of dedication for the event. Following the ceremony, the badminton competition officially kicked off the league.
