Since September 2025, Jincheng CC&TSPM has organized a citywide sermon exchange under the theme "The Word Became Flesh, Glorifying God and Benefiting People." The initiative aims to enhance preachers' theological depth and overall quality, while providing a systematic overview of preaching across the city.
According to the organizer, pastors and preachers across the city were divided into three teams, traveling to all six counties and districts. In each location, they listened to every preacher's sermon face-to-face and offered immediate feedback and guidance. This cross-observation model created direct interaction and ensured the effectiveness of the exchange.
During the sermons, preachers expounded on the theological meaning of the incarnation and the practical call to glorify God and serve people, drawing on both biblical teaching and the richness of traditional Chinese culture. The review teams evaluated the messages from theological depth, biblical interpretation, and sermon structure, offering both affirmation and constructive suggestions for improvement.
Through this comprehensive review, Jincheng CC&TSPM said that it gained firsthand information on the strengths and gaps of the city's preachers, which will serve as a foundation for future targeted training.
Elder Yan Meiling, president of Jincheng CC&TSPM, said the activity would serve as a starting point for building a long-term learning and exchange mechanism. Regular sermon exchanges will be held, with continuous refinement in format and content, further to enhance the overall quality of the city's clergy.
