In recent years, Rongguang Church in Wuhan, Hubei Province, successfully guided six believers who had previously been attracted to the South Korean cult Shincheonji and another group back to the church.

Through the efforts of the pastoral staff, members of the church's Democratic Management Committee, and volunteer believers, Rongguang Church has employed various outreach methods, including occasional home visits, telephone check-ins, caring and support, and legal education, to offer persuasion and guidance.

The church reported, "Through the study of the revised 'Regulation on Religious Affairs' and related laws, believers who had gone astray have realized that they had violated legal and regulatory guidelines. They have expressed their commitment to diligently studying these laws and regulations and to guiding those around them who are astray to attend worship at registered and legal religious venues within the scope of the laws and regulations."

At the same time, a believer who had previously attended an unregistered church also returned to participate in the church's services.
