We're going to enter 2016. What are the three things Christians must do in the coming new year? We interview seven Chinese pastors and get their answers. Below are their opinions which we hope can be helpful to you:
Rev. Piao Guifeng(Panjin): To live a godly life; to bring positive energy to the society and engage in charity; to preach the gospel and give testimony.
Rev. Wu Bing(Dalian): to have daily devotion, pray and read the Bible to be intimate to the Lord; to grow, learn and renew yourself; to give testimony by using your life to influence others'. The most important one is to live in the moment and feel the blessing grace from the Lord.
Rev. Liang Peijian(Dalian): to repent, confess sins and renew your life; to serve others like Christ; to preach the gospel and bear fruits
Sun Ying(Pastor's wife, Jinlin): to preach the gospel, save souls and be the disciples of the Lord, which are the ultimate goal of faith
Rev. Hou(Fuzhou): to renew your life, serve diligently and love the Lord deeper
Rev. Shen Zhansheng(Handan) shares the two decisions his churches have made for 2016: 1. all the members will take action and serve according to their own talents; 2. the churches always hav sympathy for weak members, old believers or new member who just convert to Christianity.
Rev. Fan Wanmin(Jiexiu, Shanxi) cites Philippians 3:13-14 as a summary: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
