On July 8, the Fifth Global Chinese Mission Conference, themed “Discipleship and Opportunities for Elderly Chinese Christians in the 21st Century,” was held online. The keynote speaker, Rev. Dr. Kaofang Yeh, addressed the opportunities, motivations, and emerging prospects for discipleship among older adults.

Feelings of displacement, work-related stress, and the isolation of faith frequently leave them on the fringes of church life. However, at one urban church in southern China, a dedicated group of young ministry workers is striving to create a spiritual home for urban youth through fellowship and biblical truth.

Choosing to "go the extra mile," Mr. Huang focuses on helping people with their real-life problems without initially mentioning Jesus or promoting religion—trusting that once their needs are met, they will return with a deeper "thirst."

A college conversion set Pastor Lucy Kang on an extraordinary path: from a new believer to a missionary navigating the complexities of sharing the gospel in Muslim-majority Egypt, and now, planting churches in Turkey. Reflecting on her cross-cultural journey, she emphasizes not just the challenges, but the profound joy of walking with God—and urges Chinese Christians worldwide to share the gospel wherever they are.

Drawing on years of frontline experience, Paul Yuan reflects on the spiritual landscape shaped by postmodernism—examining how this cultural environment shapes young people’s thinking, learning styles, and spiritual receptiveness, and how Christian educators and missionaries can adapt their approach without compromising the core of the gospel.

The Newborn Band is an amateur band formed by five young individuals united by their love for music. Their whole set of "equipment" consists of two guitars and a single cajón drum.

Founded by a breast cancer survivor, this fellowship offers spiritual support and comfort to those in crisis through their experiences. In the process, the volunteers have better understood what palliative care entails and the precious value of life itself.

Through a ministry grounded in listening, empathy, and guidance, Pastor Li’s church has helped believers address many real-life challenges while also placing a strong emphasis on leading them back to faith. He emphasized that psychology is merely a tool, while the ultimate goal is to guide people to turn back to God.

"Churches in mainland China have been shaped by historical and cultural constraints, leading to relatively conservative worship styles. Conservatism itself is not wrong, but it does not justify dismissing the worship explorations of other regions. Similarly, churches abroad—especially in developed countries—should not easily assume that the generally conservative worship style of Chinese churches is incorrect. God is the God of all nations and peoples, and He delights in diverse expressions of praise," said a season worship minister.

Brother Daniel has been engaged in the praise and worship ministry for more than 20 years. Although a pastor now, he feels lucky to start his ministry with praise and worship.
