"Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel." (Psalm 22:3) The author of the psalm describes God who's fond of praise because He is worthy. On February 29, the first choir of Shilipu Church held its first praise & worship concert.
Located in Baoji, Shaanxi, Shipulu church hopes to provide a platform for members who love praise via praise and worship concerts and arouse their enthusiasm.
With proposals and joint efforts, the praise & worship concert came to birth. Teacher Qi, one of the church staff, tells CCD that some members say that they sing choruses along with the choir for years but there's few chance to sing solo. As a result, it's hard to improve personal singing skills and they lose enthusiasm as time goes by. Many don't want further progress in higher levels.
The concert consisted of 10 programs, including male-female duet, solo songs and cucurbit flute solo. After the successful concert, more members express their willingness in joining in the next concert. "Now the second and third choirs want in, who're in active rehearsal for the next concert." Say Qi.
