On Nov 2, 2016, Jiangxi Bible School held a general meeting joined by all teachers and students and awarded scholarships to outstanding students who are excellent in both conduct and academy, excellent class committee and outstanding secretaries of Student Union in the spring semester of 2016.
In the first half of this year, Jiangxi Bible school, considering the actual situation, introduced some new measures to rate "outstanding students, excellent class committee and outstanding secretaries of Student Union" and adopted new criteria to award scholarships. Apart from taking into account the academic performance, attendance rate, church practice and each month’s test results of scripture, "actively participating in ideological education of theology and various types of activities organized by the school " and " at least 5 books must be borrowed from the library each semester" were also adopted as one of the selection criteria.
In addition, the school required that students who are qualified and have the titles of excellent students, excellent class committee and outstanding secretaries of student union can only be awarded once. The scholarships are awarded once in Spring and Autumn semester respectively, aiming at allowing more students to receive the incentives.According to the website of TSPM & CCC, on the same day minister Li Yungen, the Chairman of Three-self Patriotic Movement Committee of the Protestant Churches of Jiangxi Province and Principal of Jiangxi Bible School, awarded the honorary certificate and scholarships to the students.
Jiangxi Bible school, founded in the fall of 1992, was the "school for further education of pastoral staff in Jiangxi Province" with a schooling length of one year in its early days . In April 1993, it was renamed "Jiangxi Christian Bible School" and the schooling length was changed to two years in 1998. In 2003, the "Jiangxi Christian Bible School" was renamed Jiangxi Bible School. In 2015, approved by the State Administration of Religious Affairs, Jiangxi Bible school was officially upgraded to a junior college seminary with a schooling length of 3 years. And in September 2015, the seminary recruited its first batch of college students.
