Zhong Nan Theological Seminary in Hubei Province last Friday held its worship service on the World Day of Prayer with the theme "Build on a Strong Foundation".

All teachers and students participated in the service which was presided over by Pastor Zhao Qiufen, director of teaching affairs of the seminary.

Based on Matthew 7:24-27, Rev. Zhang Wenhua, director of the student affairs division, preached that action after listening could lay a stable foundation for faith, according to Hubei CC&TSPM.

In the sermon, the pastor also emphasized that a person who put words into practice after listening was a wise man, sharing touching stories from the seminary in the fight against COVID-19 in Wuhan.

Later, Rev. Zhang Shuilian, executive deputy president, gave special prayers and blessings.

They also listened to the voices of Leto and Mossie from Vanuatu. Three stories of Christian women during the period of COVID-19 were told, comprising Rev. Zhang Ling from the Church in Urumqi, Xinjiang, Sister Fan Xiaojie from the Suifenhe Gospel Church in Heilongjiang Province, and Pastor Liu Jieni from the Nanshengli Subdistrict Church in Baicheng City, Jilin Province.

Through the service, the participants started to know about Vanuatu, an island nation in the South Pacific, pray for them and realize the significant role women played in the gospel ministry.
