Fujian Theological Seminary Launches Entrance Exam Amid COVID-19

The annual admissions test was carried out in Fujian Theological Seminary under the premise of the coronavirus pandemic restrictions.

To reduce the number of candidates in each room, the exam was conducted on March 15-16 in two examination halls which were located in the seminary and the preliminary examination center of the seminary. With quarantine rooms, the test center was disinfected and kept well ventilated, as well as being equipped with anti-pandemic supplies, such as masks, hand sanitizer gel, and disinfectant, CCC&TSPM reported.

Sat at socially distanced intervals, students attended the exams, covering basic knowledge of Christian beliefs, subjects of Chinese, English, politics, and history, as well as psychological tests and interviews.

On March 17, Chengguan Church in Changle District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, on its official WeChat account forwarded a notice from Fuzhou Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, which read that all religious venues in Fuzhou City would suspend group activities and be in lockdown till further notice.

According to the Fujian Provincial Health Commission, on March 17 the Fujian Province reported 113 new locally transmitted cases and 83 new local asymptomatic infections.
