Several churches in the Huangpu District of Shanghai resumed in-person services as the coronavirus pandemic subsided.

Upon the basis of the preparations for reopening after being closed since June, Sunday services restarted in Moore Memorial Church, All Saints’ Church, Pure Heart Church, and Huizhong Church on August 14 under the guidance and joint inspection of governments, the Shanghai CC&TSPM said.

On the first day of the resumption of onsite services, staff members asked churchgoers to follow precautions, including registering, scanning the venue code, having their health code scanned or ID card read by a digital sentry and having their temperature measured. Presented disposable foot covers and gloves, worshippers were required to wear masks and sit at socially distanced intervals.

Reviewing the days of fighting the epidemic and looking forward to the bright future of the church, preachers shared the contents of “Me and My Community in the Midst of the Epidemic”, combining the belief with the responsibilities of modern Christians in the face of emergencies in their work and life.
