Hmong Kid is a movie full of conflicts with scenes flashing back and forth between Shenzhen and a Hmong Village.  It shows a very typical present reality: Migrant workers and their left-behind children. It is also a movie about family and love.

This is China's first film about minority left behind children. It won Best Children's Film at the 2015 Universe Multicultural Film Festival on April 20 at Los Angles, USA.

Recently, a Christian who does ministry work among the Hmong ethnic minority areas recommended the film and asked more people to focus on the local left behind children.

"Hmong Kid" shows the simple and beautiful households in Guizhou and the prosperous international metropolis of Shenzhen. It seems there's no real connection between the two places, but the story of the minority children missing and searching for their families brought them together. According to Lu Maoxin, the film will be released officially soon.

"Hmong kid" has multiple genres like children's film, family film and public welfare film. With family oriented publication, people will experience the meaning of family more deeply and help more left behind children to have their families back. Lu Maoxin, chief producer of the film, said that paying attention to "Hmong Kid" means paying attention to the 70 million left behind children in China. He wants to change the fate of these children and let the phrase "Left behind Children" remain in history so that the children who miss their distant parents can return to their parents.

The film was directed by famous children's film director Li Hong, guest starring Zheng Yuzhi, Chen Maolin, Zhu Xijuan, Christian actress Wong Hong, and other older artists. Famous child actor Dai Jiajia, who was famous for "Legend of Entrepreneurship," and the No.1 post-00s talented girl Yaohong Hemei co starred.
