"Wonder Boy" was released on theatres last August 3, Thursday. It chronicles the three years of the famous singer and songwriter Dick Lee, which also features about his debut album titled "Life Story" in 1974.

Dick Lee and Daniel Yam co-directed the film. It stars The Sam Willows band singer Benjamin Kheng as the young Dick Lee and actress Julie Tan, who portrays Richard's mysterious love interest named Linda.

According to a report, the movie has a NC16 rating due to its bed scenes. The 24-year-old actress said that it was very awkward for her to film the scenes as she got to do it first before getting to know Kheng better first.

"We filmed these intimate scenes on the very first day of filming. It was really awkward at first, even when we were supposed to be intimate with each other, there was still a 'friendship gap' between us," she said. "But, when we watched the playback on screen later, we realised that the camera had really magnified our awkwardness, making it really obvious."

"Julie was very professional about things," the 26-year-old Kheng. "We had a job to do, (the scene) was part of the story, and it had to be done."

Meanwhile, Tan is already working on another project. She discussed about her career and how she get things done. She also added that she wants to return to Singapore every year with a drama and movie as she has more lined up in China.

"You'll definitely have to work hard while you're still young. When I chose this path, I knew that no matter how tough the going might get, I'll still have to fight it out. The entertainment industry is never a comfortable place," she said.
