This month a book on Nestorianism in China and central Asia was released.

The book Jingjiao: The Church of the East in China and Central Asia was published by Routledge, a British multinational publisher.

Edited by Roman Malek, a Sinologist and emeritus professor of the history of religions at the Philosophical-Theological Faculty S.V.D. at Sankt Augustin, Germany, the book consists of 30 contributions, most of which were first presented at the conference “Research on Nestorianism in China” held in Salzburg in May 2003.

Exploring the subject of “Nestorianism” in a variety of aspects, the book is composed of five parts centering on the past and current research on Nestorianism in China, its authenticity and theology in the Tang dynasty, the "Nestorian" inscriptions and remains from the Yuan dynasty, according to the book description.

It is also ‘dedicated to questions of the Church of the East in Central Asia and other historically relevant countries’. The last part of the book presents a ‘Preliminary Bibliography on the Church of the East in China and Central Asia’ prepared especially for this volume.
