Love is in the Air: Bible Verses that reminds the true meaning of love

It's time to celebrate love this season of Valentine. People go on dates, enjoy surprises and enjoy days with a loved one.

However, love is not just expressed through that and it is not limited to that. Beyond cheesy love letters and other valentine's card, the Holy Bible tells and reveals the much deeper meaning of love.

Here are some of the Bible verses that reminds us about love. Need not to explain more as each verses provides us details and more wide knowledge in how to show love or what really is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

1 Corinthians 16:14

Do everything in love.

Psalm 143:8

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,

for to you I entrust my life.

 

Proverbs 3:3-4

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;

bind them around your neck,

write them on the tablet of your heart.

Then you will win favor and a good name

in the sight of God and man.

 

Colossians 3:14

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

1 John 4:16

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

Ephesians 4:2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Ephesians 3:16-17

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.

1 John 4:19

We love because He first loved us.

 

Romans 12:9

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

1 Corinthians 13:2

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

Ephesians 5:25-26

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.

Isaiah 49:15-16

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast

and have no compassion on the child she has borne?

Though she may forget,
