Looks like the famous Christian Chinese Pop Singer G.E.M continued her influence and popularity as she just reportedly beat Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan as the most popular celebrity on Hong Kong social media.
"Alive Not Dead", an online artist community and "Lamplight Analytics" a social media data analysts have ranked celebrities who are famous in Hong Kong. Jackie Chan was ranked as the second and Donnie Yen, the third. Shawn Yue and singer Denise Ho completed the top five spot.
The online community data shows the most famous celebrity in Facebook and Instagram calculated through the numbers of likes, share, comments and overall social media engagement.
"While social media mentions by volume provide some indication of online influence, engagement is a much better indicator. For the stars, engaged fans are passionate fans - they are the ones that attend your concerts, buy your music and watch your movies," Sam Olsen, CEO of Lamplight, said.
It just show too who are those celebrities who got lots of supporters and willing to engage even on social media.
In addition to it, the most famous online celebrity G.E.M has took Instagram to post her Christian faith talking about how Jesus would sacrifice just for each of us. Furthermore, looks like G.E.M is faithful to Christianity by not just posting on social media but she was reportedly engaged in a charity as a volunteer in Hengyang, Hunan to teach music to village children.
