Everyone hates to suffer, but it is a fact that pain changes people. It means the sufferings will not make us weak but rather strong. Christians go through struggles in life to help them get back to the right path of righteousness. We may lose all our self-reliance and what we can do is turn right to the only one who can help us.

Think like the situation of weightlifting. It might hurt but in the long process, you'll become more stronger. More weight means more pain and more pain means you're getting stronger than before.

God's healing is a process and you don't even notice but He heals you. It is hard but we need to find the joy despite the pain. How can we be like that? Simply seek God.

We have to ask ourselves if this situation will help us become more like Jesus or how can this situation help others.

Whether you are in emotional or physical pain, you need to seek God for help. Find the right encouragement out from His words and keep your mind on no one but Him.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 That's why we are not discouraged. No, even if outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are being renewed each and every day. This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an everlasting weight of glory, far beyond any comparison, because we do not look for things that can be seen but for things that cannot be seen. For things that can be seen are temporary, but things that cannot be seen are eternal.

Romans 8:17-18 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."

2 Corinthians 1:5-6 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

1 Peter 4:13 Instead, be very glad-for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

1 Peter 5:9-10 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Job 6:10 At least I can take comfort in this: Despite the pain, I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, giving protection in times of trouble. He knows who trusts in him.
