In this world, people almost live for himself. They forgot that there's a "we" in here. Moreover, some thinks that a nice and kind statement would not create a difference.
Imagine this: You are working the whole day from 8am to 5pm with one hour break but it turns out there's an emergency meeting so you did spend the whole 9 hours inside the office with just two coffee breaks. With all the rush and stress inside the office, of course anyone would want to go home and take a rest in a peaceful room and take a bath. HOWEVER, it does not turn out that way as your parents or could be your spouse started blaming you for a little mistake you overlooked. They started to blurt out short hurtful statements. How will you feel about it?
Very bad. Very emotional. Stress.
That's true! Actually even if we did not came from work but we heard something hurtful especially from the person we hope can ease our bad mood, we all get over emotional or worst, became angry towards the person.
If you don't want to cause or ruin someone's day, you need to know that you need to choose the right words and say it at the right moment. Let me say this: If you cannot say anything good then just zipper your mouth. That's the rule.
God has something to say about saying nice and kind words to others. Read the bible verses:
Proverbs 16:24
"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body."
Proverbs 15:1
"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Proverbs 25:11
"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver."
Job 4:4
"Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, and you have made firm the feeble knees."
