Christians, hows your life today? Do you walk with Christ today? Do your words, thoughts, and deeds connected with Our God the Father through Jesus? How you deal with the rebuke that you encounter today? Are you able to receive with arms wide open the corrections and rebuke well? The word of God tells that it is better to receive open rebuke than hidden love.
Proverbs 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
And if a friend or family members rebuke you, call it correction or reproof. One of the most loving things anyone can do for you is to tell you when you're wrong. It is a great act of love. That's why don't get your loved ones wrong then they try to rebuke you. Our scripture is a full guide of rebuke. The kind of rebuke that the scriptures build up are to stop us from continuing on a destructive path.
When we are unable to receive rebuke, it destroys us a person and our home. Rebuke is wisdom and knowledge for the wise. However, those who are refusing to receive rebuke are foolish in the eyes of our Father.
What will happen if we refuse reproof?
Whoever hates reproof will die.
Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.
Poverty and disgrace come to him to whom hates rebuke.
Proverbs 13:18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honored.
What awaits us if we accept rebukes?
He who listens to reproof gains intelligence
Proverbs 15:32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
To the one who embraces rebuke, the Father of Jesus says, "I will pour out my spirit to you."
Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Christians accept rebukes and reproof now.
Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
The last verse that we had refers to a man who has been corrected over and over. And each time he has corrected it made him more and more stubborn.
