Pain and hurt are guaranteed to be felt by everyone on this world. Jesus tells us that we will have trouble, however we can overcome it because He has overcome the world as per John 16:33.

Through the bible, we are comforted by knowing that God is a faithful God and that He will always be there, looking for us. God truly cares, He is the protector and comforter in times of trying times.

Whatever the situation is, we can use these Bible verses below to find peace and comfort:

Deuteronomy 31:8-9

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."  So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and to all the elders of Israel."

Psalm 23:4

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

Joshua 1:9-10

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." So Joshua ordered the officers of the people:"

Psalm 27:1

"The LORD is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalm 86:17

"Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me."

Psalm 9:9

"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble."

Psalm 119:48-52

"I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees. Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from your law. I remember, LORD, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them."
