As we are now in the new year 2020, have you looked back on 2019 and do you have expectations when making a plan for 2020?

The church and every Christian should count all of God's blessings and grace during the past year, praise him for his providence, and be thankful for his guidance . Meanwhile, we must all repent for our sins.

Below are 10 Bible passages for you to dwell on when looking back at the old year and looking ahead to the new year.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Deuteronomy 11:12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.

Psalm 65:11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.

Philippians 3:13-14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 4:12-15 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

1 Peter 1:6-7 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Jeremiah 33:2-3 "This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it-the Lord is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' "
