Jeremy Lin issued a message to remind himself to stay patient and live in the moment amid the coronavirus treatment.

Announcing the infection of COVID-19 on August 10, the Christian basketball player said on Twitter three days later, "I am grateful for even the slightest progress in the treatment process," sharing his mother’s story of learning dance.

His post read, "Sittin here w covid in the hospital I felt myself gettin pissed off at how slow I felt my recovery was. And then I had to remind myself im not gonna conquer this whole thing overnight. thats just not how life works. Then it reminded me..."

"Right before I left the US, my mom and I finished her 20 min intense zumbaa. It didnt happen overnight. We started at 5 min and tried to add 1 min each day. After 2 days, she had to rest for a couple days bc of calf cramps. But she kept pushin. We kept adding a min each say (with more minor setbacks) On the last day, she almost quit partway thru but pushed thru to complete her goal of 20 min straight of zumbaa weeks later. Keep in mind my mama hasnt worked out since college...over 40 years ago. We celebrated w a Chamberlain photo and a fattt matcha cake lol," the Christian celebrity continued.

"I guess this post is more for myself than anyone else to stay patient, stay present and celebrate all the small wins along the way (like my fever bein gone). And before i know it, ill be gettin buckets again. "

Fans left their messages:

"We wait to meet you again! Trust the doctor and yourself!"

"Be patient to be healed. Come on"

"Be patient and rest for a while. God is with you"

"The loving God will protect you. Amen"
