What is a role of a Christian Teacher? A Christian teacher should be committed to providing information which will enable Christians teaching to school and to her/his unbeliever students. A Christian teacher must not allow Satan's lies to be sown in his/her classroom lest tender, young souls are led astray., Because of that belief, Special Education teacher of San Luis Obispo High School Michael Stack wrote a letter about his sentiments in LGBT Community.
Dear Editor,
I love the staff and students at SLOHS. My students know that. But I love God more, so in obedience to Him, I am writing this letter. I have faith that the entire Bible is without error, that we are all accountable for our actions and that teachers are especially accountable. I'm a teacher, and I don't want to displease God any more than I already have with my sinful life, so in obedience to Him, I'm asking you to please slowly read and consider the following excerpt from the book of Romans, Chapter 1, verses 16-32, in the New Testament. It describes a deception that has happened in the past, and is happening again right now, not only at SLOHS but throughout the world:
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes - the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has a life."
I write you these things in order to lift up those who have stumbled, or may stumble, and put you back on the right path.
I pray you each have a great summer, a wonderful life, and a perfect eternity.
Because of that letter Stack threw up different comments, Mayor Heidi Harmon surprisingly called the letter "unacceptable" encourage the people to write letters to the school board and administration.
Harmon Stated, In Fact, This is unacceptable. A teacher at SLO High wrote this shaming letter against the LGBT community- A community that already has a high degree of suicide. Please share your concerns with the SLO School Board and the SLO High Administration. I've contacted the School Board- you might do the same.
" That is why God has forsaken them because of their lustful desire. When woman attracted to a fellow woman same is equally the same with a man attracted to his fellow man, and with that, the issue between LGBT and Michael Stack is a war between beliefs and opinions.Stack stand by his belief about immorality same as LBGT they stand for their rights as a member of so-called third sex. When Amber Ernst, a 16-year-old junior and co-president of the school's Gay Straight Alliance, an LGBTQ advocacy group, called the letter "heartbreaking."
"I'm very strong in what I believe and in who I am, but for others still trying to find themselves, I feel like something like this will be really damaging," Ernst said. "It's heartbreaking for them to see a teacher essentially say they're going to hell."
Stacks denounce because of his faith and belief against LGBT, and with that, all the students of the said school were coming together to defend their LGBT classmates.The school decided to terminate Michael even though the class still going on.
