Pastor Huang, a cultural bridge-builder, has reached beyond religious boundaries by organizing dialogues between Christians, Muslims, Confucians, Taoists, and atheists, seeking to dispel misunderstandings and build trust.

Dr. Nina Balmaceda, associate professor and director of the Center for Reconciliation at Duke University’s Divinity School, attended the recent 12th Christian Forum for Reconciliation in Northeast Asia (NARI) in Okinawa, Japan. Originally from Peru, Dr. Balmaceda shares in an exclusive interview with China Christian Daily about the mission of the center, her reflections on reconciliation in diverse contexts, and her hopes for dialogue between China, the United States, and the global church.

Based in Seoul, South Korea, Jongho Kim, chairman of the Christian Forum for Reconciliation in Northeast Asia (NARI), shares why the ministry of reconciliation and Christian fellowship are vital in Northeast Asia.

Having served as the leader of his church's youth fellowship for over a decade, Brother Bai suddenly received a suspension notice from the church. The fellowship had grown together with his own spiritual life since the early days of his faith journey.

Teacher X met his spouse through his church's marriage and singles ministry and now serves as a core co-worker. He emphasized that the gatherings, often held as short retreats, are not matchmaking events but focus on discipleship and spiritual growth. The three goals are: knowing God, knowing oneself, and knowing each other.

“But you have one Bible, two knees, a threefold cord (the domestic church, overseas Chinese, and the global church), the diaspora mission in all four directions, and five loaves and two fish,” Pastor Yu Mujie urged Chinese diaspora who may have little resources to preach the gospel to different regions of the world.

Ms. Glendz, a staff worker of Caraga Regional UNit, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) Philippines, shared her mission journey, witnessed God's grace in ministry, and voiced her concerns about church development in the Philippines.

On July 8, the Fifth Global Chinese Mission Conference, themed “Discipleship and Opportunities for Elderly Chinese Christians in the 21st Century,” was held online. The keynote speaker, Rev. Dr. Kaofang Yeh, addressed the opportunities, motivations, and emerging prospects for discipleship among older adults.

In the fast-paced, highly mobile urban clusters of southern China, young Christians often encounter significant challenges in their spiritual journeys. Feelings of displacement, work-related stress, and the isolation of faith frequently leave them on the fringes of church life. However, at one urban church in southern China, a dedicated group of young ministry workers is striving to create a spiritual home for urban youth through fellowship and biblical truth.

Choosing to "go the extra mile," Mr. Huang focuses on helping people with their real-life problems without initially mentioning Jesus or promoting religion—trusting that once their needs are met, they will return with a deeper "thirst."
