Zhongnan Theological Seminary hosted the 2023 symposium on the sinicization of Christianity on July 4.

Experts and scholars from the School of Marxism at Huazhong University of Science and Technology were invited to attend and provide guidance, CCC&TSPM reported.

During the seminar, Rev. Zhu Zhiguo, chairman of the Hubei Provincial CC&TSPM and president of the seminary, gave an overview of the school's operations. Rev. Zhang Shuilian, executive deputy dean of the seminary, presented the achievements of the seminary's administration under the sinicization of Christianity. Pastor Xiao Anping, director of the Sinicization of Christianity Research Center, shared the research findings from theological studies conducted at the seminary.

Furthermore, Pastor Zhao Weihong proposed to explore localized theological discussions in the Jingchu region, delving into the integration of the traditions of Hubei's "Chu" culture (Chu was a Zhou dynasty vassal country in Hubei and other provinces, translator's note) and Christianity, thereby promoting the practical implementation of the "Sinicization of Christianity in Hubei." Exchange and discussion among the attending experts and scholars followed the proposal.
