National Seminary Visits the US for the First Time Since Pandemic

Staff members from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary traveled to the United States to attend the board meeting of the Foundation for Theological Education in Southeast Asia (FTESEA).

According to Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, Rev. Chen Yilu, the seminary's vice dean, and full-time teacher Zhou Xuebin, on behalf of CCC&TSPM and Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, was invited to Atlanta, Georgia, USA, to attend the 2023 board meeting held by FTESEA from October 31 to November 6.

At the meeting, Rev. Chen shared the theological education ministries of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary and Chinese Christianity, focusing on its academic achievements in recent years, its research on the sinicization of Christianity, its development of teaching staff, and its 70th-anniversary celebration. He also shared the recent work on teacher training in key subjects carried out by CCC&TSPM.

The FTESEA Board affirmed its cooperation with CCC&TSPM and Nanjing Union Theological Seminary in 2023, stating that it will continue this development partnership.

During the conference, the Chinese delegates also visited local theological education institutions, such as the Candler Theological Seminary at Emory University.
