BTS was recently featured on KBS' 'Culture Plaza' show on October 17, interviewed by Shim Yeon Hee, who asked the boys regarding their comeback and the background of 'WINGS'.
The reporter begins by pointing out that the novel 'Demian' by Hermann Hesse has reportedly been getting increased sales since the group used excerpts from the book as the concept of their new album. When asked as to the novel's relationship with the album, Rap Monster said "We felt that there were a lot of similarities between parts of 'Demian' and the things we wanted to say. So we used a lot of objects and elements from 'Demian' in our jacket photos and music video."
The reported also mentioned that the members also read the novel to get into the grips with the themes they want to convey in the album. Suga even admited "I didn't enjoy the book [at first], but when I read it again, I really liked it."
The group also commented which variety shows they hope to appear in the future. Both Suga and J-Hope commented they wanted to appear in "Happy Together" and asked the show's host Yoo Jae Suk to invite them.
