Zhang Zetian is China's Youngest Female Billionaire

China's youngest female billionaire is reported to be Zhang Zetian.

The 24-year-old Chinese female billionaire became a hot topic when she appeared on the front row of Paris Haute Couture Week, Chanel and Dior and Chinese couturier Guo Pei. She has been invited to these events as she promoted the fashion and luxury products of JD.com, her husband Richard Liu Qiangdong's e-commerce giant.

Zetian reportedly made into New Fortune, a Chinese magazine's yearly ranking of the top 500 richest people in China. Her husband also made it to 16 on Forbes' China Rich List with a net worth of around US$11.6 billion.

What made Zhang Zetian the youngest female billionaire in China?

According to a report, the 24-year-old has been actively promoting the luxury portfolio of her husband's business. She is also handling the public welfare of the e-commerce giant. She also reportedly invested in different companies, such as Uber.

Last March, Zetian met Bill Gates during the launch of JD's public goods fundraising platform. During April, she represented JD at the American Apparel and Footwear Association Gala. Recently, she also participated on the red carpet event of Cannes International Film Festival.

Zetian reportedly caught the attention of the public when she rose to fame in 2009 where her photo while holding a cup of milk tea went viral in China. She then gained the nickname, "sister milk tea."

She also reportedly received invitation by the famous filmmaker Zhang Yimou to star in a film but Zetian refused the offer.

Zetian was admitted to Tsinghua University and met Liu, her husband in New York when she was an exchange student. After three years of dating, the couple decided to tie the knot in 2015.
