Brother Zhang, a born atheist, converted to Christianity at his fifties not a long time ago. When CCD interviews him, he witnesses God's guidance and grace endlessly.
Before knowing God, Zhang believed in materialism. The educational systems he received since young were all about Atheism, Darwinism and Materialist dialectics. He didn't believe eternity.
However, as time went by, he gradually abandoned all his own ideals and dreams. Then he moved to enhance his working ability. Always being a man of hardworking, Zhang realized that he lacked nothing yet holding nothing at all. Every time when he reached the peak of his job, he quit it and found another because he didn't know what working really means. He was really confused.
One day after work, Zhang chose an opposite road back home. It was on that road that he received a gospel flyer from a church member, which opened his way to Christianity.
1. He finds the meaning of life
Through sermons, he feels calm he never experienced before. When recalling the past experience, he realizes that God guided and arranged his job hopping, through which God refined and developed him.
In the Book of John, Jesus said he would destroy the temple built for 46 years and rebuild it in three days. Just as that teaching, brother Zhang believes his life and world that had been built in more than 50 years have been removed and reconstructed in just few days. Nor his mentor or friends can do this, but only God can. Now he has clear hope and a plan for the future.
2. He learns how to love
He was a pride in others' eyes for he had a smooth career and he knew that. Conflicts were always between his family and him in their communication. After believing, God teaches him love and to imitate Jesus' humanity and gentleness. Now it goes smoothly in his communication with his friends and family during which he listens to others more instead of being self-centered.
3. He sees a different and new world by walking near to God
Through life walking with God, he sees a whole different and new world. He regains confident about the future and begins to hope for eternity. By faith his spiritual eyes are opened that sees the mutual love and help between church members. Moved by this, he's filled with love and feels satisfied.
He learns that God is love. He is just a drop while God the sea. He hopes he, a little drop, will never be dry in God's love.
