As of 6 pm on Saturday, the provincial civil affairs in Hebei province reported that at least 114 people are dead with 111 others missing in the province due to the continuous rain and flooding in the area.
At least 310,000 people were also evacuated from their homes with 52,900 houses collapsing due to the floods and landslides. At least 155,000 homes were left damaged by the disaster and 700,000 hectares of crops were destroyed.
It is also estimated that the region has lost 16 billion yuan because of the disaster.
