An international symposium on overseas NGO's domestic activities management law will be held by the Amity Foundation in Nanjing on May 25, 2017.
Officials, scholars and representatives from Chinese and foreign social organizations will discuss details regarding how to conduct non-government exchange and cooperation in a better way through the study and interpretation of the law.
The law was approved in the 20th Session of 12th Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC) last April and came into effect on January 1, 2017. It orders that overseas NGOs must not illegally conduct or fund religious activities and they are not allowed to raise funds within China.
