Hao Panpan, a paralyzed man living in China, married a woman whom he fell in love with through a live streaming platform.
Hao was injured way back in May 2014 in a construction site. As a result, he was paralyzed from his waist down. His ex-girlfriend left their home and hasn't heard from her since.
Lying in bed for quite a long time, Ha began to suffer muscular atrophy on his legs and he lost 15 kilograms.
Since he lost the ability to work outside from home, he found a source of income in live streaming online. With his mobile phone and a stand, he sings and does rehabilitation exercises on a Chinese live-streaming platform.
Due to his unyielding spirit, his live videos draw more than 70,000 followers online. The followers felt a connection to this man's persistence.
Among his followers, he met Fu Chengjun in February 2017 from Central Anhui province.
"After following him online for some time, I found him to be a strong and optimistic person. We gradually fell in love with him," Fu said.
On January 9, the two tied the knot in Hebei. According to local custom, the groom's family needs to give betrothal gifts to the family of the bride before marriage. However, Fu chose to marry Hao without asking for anything.
The couple now supports their small family through doing live broadcasts and by doing business on WeChat.
