Chinese Social Sciences Forum on Religious Studies in 2021 was launched virtually.

Hosted by the Presidium of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), this forum with the theme Inheritance and Development: Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Global Civilizations was jointly organized by the Institute of World Religions, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (IWR-CASS), and the Chinese Association of Religious Studies (CARS) between 25-26 September.

The international conference set up four online sessions, conducting in-depth discussions on "Interreligious Communication, Exchange, and Integration" and "Sino-foreign Religious Studies", "Religion and Society in the Perspective of Globalization", and "Ancient Religious and Cultural Exchanges on the Silk Road".
