"Dear fellow Christians, please help the poor parents whose three children died and whose properties were destroyed in a fire out of the grief and rebuild their home."

After the notice issued on May 15 by a female believer with the surname Jin in the WeChat group of a Jiangsu church, donations were made by believers in and around Danyang City.

Due to a fire on May 6 which engulfed the furniture shop and home of a family of six in Danbei Town, three children (a ten-year-old son with cerebral palsy and two daughters aged four and five) passed away. Fortunately, the 80-year-old mother on the first floor narrowly escaped, and the couple Mr. Lin and his wife were out delivering goods when the fire broke out.

Lin's brother and sister-in-law who are Christians posted a prayer message in the church's WeChat group, asking the congregation to pray for the non-Christian couple. Unfortunately, the three children died after all ineffectual rescue measures.

At the scene of the funeral home on May 15, some Christians donated 2,100 yuan in cash during the funeral service. After returning home, the staff member surnamed Jin wrote the first sentence of this article that day, receiving a total of 20,900 yuan as of 10:00 am on May 16th, which she set as the deadline for donations.

Jin announced each donation in the WeChat group as soon as they received the money.

Some Christians did not receive this notice in the first round of contributions because of the short time to collect donations, but they wanted to donate continuously. Currently, there are still some believers helping the family in relays.
