The "Hong Kong Conference of the Chinese Pastors' Fellowship (CPF)" was held in Hong Kong from Nov. 2 to 6. The conference proposed three major core values of building churches: the vision of the Kingdom networking, the missions of evangelism and cultural mandate, and the three streams of Christian traditions.
The theme of the conference is, "Carrying on the Spiritual Torch and Missional Heritage." The host CPF explained its theme: To memorialize the 150th anniversary of the founding of China Inland Mission by James Hudson Taylor, the 60th anniversary of the founding of China's first house church marked by the accomplishment of Wang Mingdao's "We, Because of Faith" in 1955, and to build localized Chinese churches.
In the evening of Nov. 4, the conference hosted the "Better Home Land Concert" and around 800 people attended the worship service.
The CPF holds its Hong Kong conference once a year. It hopes to be the Kingdom networking platform for communication for all pastors of house churches of mainland China and other brothers and sisters in order to address the challenges of our time in the urban church development.
A house church pastor shared the theme of the conference in 2011, "The conference reflects three features: to see the development of churches through personal spiritual life and growth, the situation, pattern and developmental direction of churches overall and the response of churches to social cultural."
