From July 29 to August 1, a training workshop for teachers of theological courses at Christian seminaries in China was held in Weihai, Shandong Province. The event brought together nearly 80 faculty members specializing in biblical studies, systematic theology, and intellectual history from seminaries nationwide.

According to the hosting organization, Rev. Wu Wei, president of CCC and Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, remarked at the opening ceremony on July 29 that CCC&TSPM has deliberately organized such training sessions during the summer break in recent years to enhance the overall teaching quality of seminary instructors.

Additionally, the Introduction to the New Testament, a project that took nearly 15 years to complete, has now been published. During the ceremony, Rev. Wu, on behalf of CCC&TSPM, presented the newly released book to Shandong Theological Seminary and members of the editorial team who contributed to its development.

Following the opening ceremony, a scholar from the School of Philosophy at Nanjing University delivered a lecture titled "Sharing New Developments in Old Testament Studies from the Perspective of the Sinicization of Christianity." In the afternoon session, Rev. Chen Qirui, a faculty member at East China Theological Seminary, gave a lecture entitled "Sharing New Developments in Systematic Theology from the Perspective of the Sinicization of Christianity," highlighting recent advancements in the field. Rev. Yu Yin of Zhejiang Theological Seminary also gave a presentation on the newly published book Introduction to the New Testament, outlining its development process and offering a brief overview of its contents.

Subsequently, Rev. Lin Manhong, vice president and general secretary of CCC, outlined expectations for the teaching syllabus that participants should complete during the workshop. She emphasized that the newly developed syllabus should reflect the level of the Chinese church in the new era.

On the morning of July 30, Chen Yu, a faculty member at Guangdong Union Theological Seminary, delivered a special lecture titled "Sharing New Developments in New Testament Studies from the Perspective of the Sinicization of Christianity." He discussed current advancements in New Testament scholarship and examined their relevance for the Chinese church within the framework of the Sinicization of Christianity.

From the afternoon of July 30 to the morning of August 1, participating teachers were divided into five groups to discuss and develop syllabi for the courses "Acts," "Romans," "Introduction to the Old Testament," "Systematic Theology," and "History of Christian Thought." On the afternoon of August 1, representatives from each group presented the syllabi they had drafted.

At the closing ceremony, Rev. Lin Manhong provided a summary of the training and urged all theological institutions to implement and improve the newly developed syllabi in the upcoming semester, as well as in subsequent teaching practices.
