Youth Choir of Taipei Grace Baptist Church Holds Cultural Communication in Mainland China

On January 23, 2016, the youth choir of Taipei Grace Baptist Church comes to mainland China, holding Thanksgiving Praise Worship and cultural communication in Haicheng Muen Church, Liaoning Province. About 1500 religious leaders and believers attend it.

The youth choir,consisting of 26 members, sings Christian songs, Taiwan and mainland folk songs during the worship. Rev. Li Yaobin, the pastor of Grace Baptist Church, introduces that the youth choir hopes to sing out spiritual music for God.

The choir, once called Undergraduate Choir, has been founded for six years to attract students who love music and young people to join in the church. In recent years, the youth choir has been invited to hold communication activities with mainland churches in Fujian, Jiangsu and Liaoning.

Founded in the early 1950s, Taipei Grace Baptist Church has an over sixty-year history. The famous Baptist minister Zhou Lianhua who was called "Pastor" of JChiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling, was the preaching pastor of English Sunday service and was responsible for Chinese Sunday service in the church. 

Rev. Wang Ruentao of Haicheng CCC&TSPM says the cross-strait church communication is blessed by God, which benefits promoting cross-strait harmony and has all the believers receive grace of Jesus Christ.

At the end of the communication, Rev. Li Yaobin sends a couplet written by Rev. Zhou Lianhua to churches in Haicheng.
