Making support for the ministry is not very easy but for Rev. Li Lancheng of the Holy Word Church, original writing is the way to go if the Church wishes to get more following for their ministries.
In a WeChat meeting on May 6, 2016, Rev Li stressed the importance of the ministry of writing - established in 2014 - since they work on the documents often distributed in the Sunday service. They also handle schedules, slideshows and summaries of each sermon. As of 2015, the ministry has 13 members.
In the website of Mochou Lu Church, Rev. Li stressed that sermons, Christian websites and WeChat platforms all convey the truth in words and they can be used to convey the words of God, evangelists and preachers.
Furthermore, the head of the art center of the church stressed that church editors didn't mean they would just copy and paste details from other articles. These articles they are releasing should be reported in various perspectives and in mediums that people can access and relate into as if they are seeing another look into their experiences. These may also help them get inspirations on how they can live their lives.
This has already been done by an online editor known only as "Wheat" from the Mochou Lu Church as she speaks about how her church's ministry of writing utilized realistic descriptive articles and argumentative essays that would guide their followers. She even gave a suggestion that the Holy Word Church's WeChat platform can begin introducing these original articles by introducing realistic articles that would engage the readers while the editors work on their writing skills to target their audiences carefully for future articles.
Another editor also advised these church editors to join the church activities and write down ideas which they can apply in their articles and even include photos to give more realistic quality in these articles.
The Holy Word Church is also working on calling for more engagement from the people, especially for writers who can join the ministry of writing to assist the ministry. They hope that these new people that would join them would assist in creating a structural frame for the editorial department to serve God easier through writing and utilize various platforms and styles.
