On the evening of September 17, the church in Shenzhen held an opening ceremony of the series of culture communication activities named "Blessed China & New Way of Faith" in Shenzhen Church in celebration of the 66th anniversary of the founding of TSPM.

The first event is a joint praise concert of sacred music which was held on that same evening and over ten choirs from CCC&TSPM and local churches took turns in presenting the hymns created by Chinese sacred music masters.

It is said that the activities have three themes--- "Walk the new way, do new things and sing new songs", which included a special exhibition tour on the history of sinicization of Christianity especially in the entire mainland, Guangdong and Shenzhen,  and a exhibition of the collection of churches with Chinese characteristics which will be displayed in five significant local churches(Langkou Church, Shenzhen Church, Baoan Church, Nanshan Church and Longgang Church). Another exhibition featuring Christian paintings and calligraphies will also be held in these churches. The events will end with a charity evening party.

Rev. Cai Bosheng, the chairman of Shenzhen CCC&TSPM, said that the activities aim to show the attempt of the ministry and the ways it does to integrate Christianity in China with Chinese culture. He adds that the Christian social service center of Shenzhen was founded at the thirtieth anniversary of the reopening of Christian services in Shenzhen held in August 2014. This was also the date when it was announced that the local church would shift the development goals of the church to stress to the society on how to assist in developing from inside the church.

Meanwhile, it has strengthened the training ministries and this year, the church established the "Shenzhen Christian Theology Research Center" which has played an essential role in the reconstruction of the church in Shenzhen.

In the past five years, the five mentioned churches have purchased five properties and the metropolis' CCC&TSPM has its own assets.

"We also hope everyone to witness God's guidance in the church in China seen from the His blessings for the church in Shenzhen, which is also the kindness seen in the church in Guangdong." Says Cai.
