On Aug 31, 2015, Hainan Christian Theological Training Center had an enrollment of 15 students in the theological class and 7 students in the sacred music class. Carrying the missions of their churches, they started their journey of study.

In the second class, in Sep 2016, the training center started correspondence courses and the Qiongzhong basic courses to prepare talents for Hainan churches in all aspects.

The arrangement for the training center is that they will complete 24 courses in three intensive periods through the year. This will provide a complete introduction to theological and basic pasturing training for the students, so that they will have the right perception about pasturing, serving, and life. It also offers opportunities for a two and a half year theological class.

Studying while working could be a difficult choice. The correspondence courses of the center were established to adapt to the needs of Hainan churches. They combine remote guidance with face to face instruction and individual learning with systematic training, all when the students can't be away from their jobs. They also set up class committees with unity and order to complete the course planning with the teachers.

In April 2016, the center started the 9-month "Discipleship Training." Based on the Bible, students finish their homework and concentrated discussions in guidance, take roots in the Bible, and become disciples of the Lord. This training takes place in Wenchang and Haikou.

The theological training center expressed the difficulties facing it right now. With the class arrangement, it needs to be more systematic and functional. Regarding faculty, more specialized teachers are needed. For students, more publicity is needed so churches know about and desire theological education. In terms of funding, they need more donations from all areas.
