Over 400 students of Northeast China Theological Seminary held the Christmas Thanksgiving Praise Meeting at Panshi Church, Dec 15, 2016. By singing soulful hymns they expressed their infinite reverence to God.
Pastor Kou Youguo, President of this Presbyterian seminary, gave a sermon titled "The Symbol of the Birth of Jesus." The teachers and students were touched that it was a symbol of poverty and humility that Jesus was born for the world, so that the students -- the future preachers -- know that the pain of the cross is worthwhile in order to reach the world.
Elder Shi Aijun, Executive vice president of the seminary, cited Ephesians 4:3 to encourage all the new students to fulfill their own duties and help each other in Christ, so that their spiritual lives can gradually grow. Establish themselves in love and maturity to the measure of the full stature of Christ.
Performances by the new students began with the pastoral graduate class doing a choral singing "No Reason." Even though they serve hard in the field, there is no reason to forsake the mission, but to spare no effort in continuing without regrets.
The new students of Junior College sang "We are brothers" to show that there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and the holy spirit united so they were as close as brothers.
