How Should Christians Regain Love for Ministry?

After converting, some Christians commit themselves to the church or ministry. However, they lose passion and feel tired after a period of service. Through reading the Bible, prayer or services, you will reignite your passion while you will find that passion gradually vanishes and the ever beloved ministry becomes a constraint.

Rev. Elijah from Shanghai holds that Christians should get equipped in four areas after conversions: ministry, truth, the Holy Spirit, and talents.

"Every man with a new life should learn, get equipped and engage in ministry." The pastor says, stating that "being involved in ministry" resembles everyone going to school as a child or finding a job, a very natural thing.

Every Christian, with his or her unique ministry, gift, talent, and character, would find his or her own gift and talent during the ministry and they will find the most suitable ministry or position.

The pastor stresses that serving is not driven by one's preference but by responsibility and free will. If you're not enthusiastic in your ministry, you may be not reborn and your love for the Lord may become cold.

"If you love the Lord, you will love his work. We cannot love the Lord while hating work or love the job while not loving the Lord, which both are extremes."

"When you lose love for the work of the Lord, you may reflect on yourself if you love the Lord."

He states, the first approach to reignite your passion for ministry is to "firstly believe in God's love to us, then follow his words and love him so that we can love his ministry." The second way to regain love is to read the Bible, pray or listen to hymns to stir up our love.
