In October each year, Qingshui Bay of Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, attracts many tourists and residents because of its unique geographical situation and climate. Qingshuiwan Church was founded on Oct 1, 2016. And it's the first church with a registered record.
"Even though the church has been established only a short while, we believe that with God's blessings and guidance the Gospel will take root here and bear abundant fruit." said a sister in the church.
The smallest minority on Hainan Island is the Li people, inhabiting mostly in Wuzhishan, Baoting, Ledong, Dongfang, Qiongzhong, baishi, Lingshui, Changjiang, Sanya, and other places. The Li practice a primitive religion that is basically worship of ancestors, nature, totems, and some Wicca. The basic characteristics of the religion are primitive, customs, and firm godliness. The reasons for the formation are natural root, cognitive root, psychological root, and social root.
