On March 4, 2017, Jiang Yuanlai, a Christian scholar from Shanghai, was invited to give the first lecture for the series "21 Basic Relations on World Culture and Christianity" in Lion Church of Suzhou. More than 40 believers attended the lecture.

The speaker shared that some cultures in the world are practicing dog-eat-dog mindset, but Jesus Christ came to save the people, citing 1 Timothy 1:15-17.

He added that his research on the relationship of religions cited the way evangelization took place and promoted mutual understanding and comprehensive understanding of general revelations between churches.

It is said that the culture salon of the church was initiated in June 2012 and sent invitation to scholars in different fields, aiming to push forward the development of Christian evangelism and cultural mission through social culture and academic exchanges within the church.
