The 2017 Gaokao (annual National College Entrance Examination) is on June 7 to 8, according to Chinese Ministry of Education. A total of 9.4 million students took the exam this year.
Some mainland churches and Christians were praying for the students even prior to Gaokao, and Sheng'an Church in Dongying, Shandong Province is one of them. The church will continue praying for these students even after the exam.
On June 4, Shashan Church in northeastern China's Shenyang organized a prayer and communication meeting for the students and their parents. It was led by the Sunday school and teacher fellowship. Dozens of students and their parents talked and prayed together. They also invited students and parents that went through Gaokao before to share their experiences as a testimony of God's guidance in their lives. Finally, they established a WeChat Group (Chinese chat group) for high school and college entrance exams to pray together every night.
In southern China, Chengguan Christian Church in Lianjiang, Fuzhou, Fujian Province set up free resting places for students and their parents on June 7 and 8. Tea and Xerox printing services were also provided. They called on brothers and sisters to offer blessings and prayers for the students.
