The youth choirs of Germany Esslingen Church and a church in Guangzhou held a joint worship service in Guangzhou Tianhe Church, the city's largest church, on Monday. About 1,000 local believers attended it.

Founded in 1946, the Germany youth choir has forty members with an average age of 21.On ordinary occasions they sing hymns on Sunday at their church. In recent years the ministry expanded its reach overseas to strengthen religious and cultural exchange with churches in different regions.

2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and also the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Germany.

Choruses were performed in the praise and worship service according to the traditional order of Christian worship.

The worship started with a hymn sung by the choir of Tianhe Church accompanied by organ, followed by two songs by the joint choir of the Guangzhou church.

The German choir performed eight pieces of sacred music including "Jesus, Priceless Treasure" and "Praise Jehovah, All Ye Nations."
