Chongqing Church Holds First Collective Ordination of Pastors after Opening up

On November 30, 2017, ten pastoral staff and two workers were ordained as associate pastors or pastors by the Chongqing CCC&TSPM in the first collective ordination since the reform and opening up began in 1978.

More than 300 pastoral workers and believers attended the ceremony. It was presided over by Rev. Jiang Ping, deputy secretary general of the city CCC&TSPM. The ordination team consisted of Xu Lunsheng, chairman of the Chongqing TSPM, Rev. Cao Renfang, president of the CCC, and other six officials.
