Since last Sunday, the liturgical calendar has entered the Christmas Week.

Built in 1887, Shanghai Moore Memorial Church has been decorated with ornaments.

Christmas wreaths have been put outside the windows and doors of the Gothic-style church. The main entrance has been adorned with four angels sounding trumpets and a tall Christmas tree has been erected. The four Chinese characters "Sheng Dan Kuai Le" (Merry Christmas) have been displayed at the side entrance.

During the Christmas service that day, the clergy lit the last few candles symbolizing the beginning of Christmas. Later the choir sang hymns and dances and biblical plays were performed.
